Mic Gadget Guide is an independent website with practical guides to gadgets, smartphones and technology from China: what a device actually does, how it compares with the alternatives, and what to check before you buy or set it up.
What we cover
- Gadgets: everyday tech such as earbuds, smartwatches, chargers, power banks and smart-home devices, explained in plain English.
- China Tech: phones, brands, apps and electronics from Chinese makers, and how they work for buyers outside China.
- Smartphones: features, specs, buying advice, setup and troubleshooting for Android phones and iPhones.
Independence
Mic Gadget Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any device maker, brand, carrier or retailer. Brand and product names are used only to identify the products we write about, and they belong to their owners.
This site is also not affiliated with, and is not a continuation of, the earlier MICgadget technology blog that once used this domain. It does not share that blog’s authors, archive or brand.
How we write
Articles are researched from manufacturers’ published specifications, official support documentation, standards bodies and other primary sources, and they link to those sources so readers can check them. Specifications and prices change, so always confirm the details with the seller before you buy. If you spot an error, please tell us through the contact page.
