Hefei city, the capital and the largest city of Anhui Province in Eastern China, had a talented welder who assembled some thousands of old car components to form a 4-5 meters high alloy-styled “Optimus Prime”, which had caught many bystanders’ attention.
When Asus CEO Jonney Shih took the stage this morning at AsiaD conference, he thought it would be a perfect time to unveil Asus’ next generation of Eee Pad Transformer tablet. Well, he’s right, he brought along a briefcase with some “top secret” gear in it, opened it, took the “top secret” gear out, and handed it to Walt Mossberg. Jonney really did surprise everyone, and he went on to talk about tablets, laptops and more with Mossberg onstage at AsiaD.
Okay Nokia, you put your X7 smartphone beside Optimus Prime. That’s fine; but what are you trying to tell me? It’s transforms into Prime? Or Prime transforms into Nokia? I know the X7 was featured in the latest Transformers movie, but I just don’t get the idea why I’m seeing probably the world’s largest Nokia phone is put beside an Autobot leader. It would make sense if it is put somewhere near an Apple store.

Alight, Nokia has launched its X7 smartphone in Hong Kong and in order to promote the new 4-inch AMOLED handset, the company has hired two silly humans to disguise as Optimus Prime and Starscream in a press conference. What do they need to do? Well, hold the X7 in their hands, look at the cameras and say cheez! Oh, they are able to able to transform or disguise themselves. Video after the break.
Transformer’s fans, the Transformers Cybertron Conference started already in Shanghai now!!! We had spotted the Super Large Bumblebee at the end of last month which had been used as a guard outside of the conference. Thankfully, we had found some more beautiful shots of the conference, enjoy those shots after the break.
In Beijing, a 10-Meters-Tall Optimus Prime appeared. Today, we spotted another transformer in China, and it is a eight-ton bumblebee, it erected in Shanghai East Asia Exhibition Hall to prepare for the upcoming 2010 Cybertron Annual Meeting in Shanghai, east China, and the meeting will display different generations of transformer toys as well. Wait to see!!!
I’m a big fan of Transformers, and this 10-Meters-Tall Optimus Prime which is built from waste materials has brought me a motivation to go to Beijing right away. Behind that giant Autobot, it’s the Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed “The Bird’s Nest,” the place where the Olympic Games was held way back in 2008.
