A skeleton of an unknown marine mammal was pulled from sea waters by a Chinese fisherman in Qingdao, Shandong Province gets publicize. The skeleton, with 153 joints, is 3.5 meters long. The head of the beast resembles a Chinese dragon, while the main body appears to be more snake-like. No one has yet identified the skeleton’s species. Chinese beachgoers wear body suits and protective head masks, dubbed “facekinis”, on a crowded public beach in Qingdao city, located in eastern Shandong province, Eastern China. Last year, we have already seen this kind of ‘high-tech’ anti-tanning swimwear. This year it becomes a trend in Qingdao city. The masks are made of a stretchy fabric that is commonly used in bathing suits and can be accompanied by apparel that covers other parts of the body, such as the arms. The mask was invented by a local about seven years ago and is now being mass produced. This is the newest way for Chinese people, especially old ladies, trying to prevent themselves from getting a tan while sitting on the beach. A fat Chinese lady from Qingdao, a city in eastern China, has became famous on wearing this ‘high-tech’ anti-tanning swimwear. The black latex swimsuit has covered her whole body including her head, only her eyes, mouth and both hands can be seen. The purpose of this custom-made swimsuit is to prevent skin exposure to the sun (prevent tanning), and perhaps protection against jellyfish when swimming.
