[UPDATE] OPPO unveiled the Oppo Find 5, the company latest entry in the high-end smartphone territory. The Find 5 most striking feature is the 1080p LCD display that boasts an amazing 441ppi pixel density. That’s the same resolution and pixel density as the display of the HTC Droid DNA/Butterfly. Similar to the Xiaomi Mi2 launch this summer, OPPO’s launch was held in the 798 arts district in Beijing. The event, which took place at a art center, included more than 500 attendees. We attended the launch event, and got up a close look with the new full HD phablet device. It was a nobby launch event that was quite impressive, the Chinese handset maker seem to has an ambitions to become a recognized player in the international market…
Smartphone makers are getting insane of making 5-inch smartphone with 1080p display, so it should come as no surprise that China’s ZTE is, too. Call it “Nubia Z5″. It’s pretty similar to HTC Butterfly (known as HTC Droid DNA in U.S.) and Oppo Find 5 that opted a 5-inch Full HD display, quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdrago S4 Pro APQ8064 chipset and 2GB of RAM. Rumors are saying ZTE’s Nubia Z5 will have a slim chassis measured at 7.6mm in thickness, meaning it should be thinner than OPPO Find 5 and HTC Butterfly! Isn’t that exciting?
This is pretty surprising. OPPO is scheduled to unmask the Find 5 on the 12th in Beijing. But while you’re still guessing what’s the fifth elements indicate, the specs sheet of OPPO Find 5 has already been posted on www.oppousa.com! It will come with a 5-inch Full HD display with 441ppi, runs a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, pairs up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. The specs sheet also revealed it will include a 2,500mAh battery, NFC capability and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Other than the leakage, we also have some exclusive info to tell you after the break.
Oppo Find 5 is supposed to be the world’s first smartphone with 5-inch 1080p display, however, Taiwanese manufacturer HTC’s new HTC J Butterfly has now grabbed that tittle. In order to challenge the new 5-inch HTC phablet, Oppo today unveiled hands-on photos of their Find 5, specs and expected price. Believe us, this could be the world’s thinnest, most powerful, 5-inch quad-core Android smartphone. More photos and info after the break.
Chinese manufacturer Oppo has teased a super thin 6.65mm phone that’s poised to take the title of “world’s thinnest smartphone” from Huawei and maybe the next new iPhone from Apple. It’s apparently a slightly thinner than the interim champion, the Ascend P1 S, which measured at 6.68mm (only just 0.03mm difference ! ?). There is no specification released yet, only a cursory glance for an aluminum outer band along with a row of Android capacitive keys and a three-pin connector located on the side for attaching to a dock. The new phone looks much more exciting than the company previous model, Oppo FIND 3 and the X903. In the meantime, just don’t mistaken this to be the next Apple new iPhone … Two more pictures after the break.
Last month, we had reported that Chinese manufacturer Oppo is getting more serious on jumping into the smartphone business with an Android-powered smartphone called the Oppo Find 3. Today, the company is glad to announce that the Find 3 is sure to land on February 18th, and pre-ordering will start on Valentine’s Day.
