
Originally Windows Phones were approaching to launch in China in the year of 2011, but Microsoft has officially announced they are not going to make it this year, and expecting a delay until the first half of 2012. The reason? The U.S. software giant said they want to ensure the Chinese citizens will have a great experience using its platform. But what exactly are they trying to improve? The company decided to remain this as a secret.
There is a company based in Beijing called “Xiaomi (小米)“, who had an ambitious goal to become the next Apple in China, according to an anonymous source from Sina. Seemingly is because the president of the company is an Apple fanboy. We believe the company can be quite successful in China but definitely not good enough to beat Apple in the market, and we are going to introduce to you guys about Xiaomi after the break. It’s taken them a good while, but Baidu finally revealed its plans to develop a light operating system for mobile devices that uniquely focuses on search, and maybe, work exclusively with web applications, just like Google’s Chrome OS. Anything you want to do on the web could be done by just starting from a search box. Yeah, this is interesting.
In China, OPhone is the name that Apple will be most wary about. OPhone is China’s open mobile operating system, based on Google’s Android. At the moment, we don’t have much detail about this Ophone, but we have got some blurry shots of the phone.
