
Beijing eedoo company, the video gaming unit which invested by Lenovo, said their first multimedia entertainment console is set to hit the Chinese market next week, at a ‘insincere’ price of 3,799 yuan (US$600). Eedoo is the world’s second company to produce a controller-free entertainment console, after only Microsoft KINECT. Eedoo delayed the launch date for about a year because they needed time to “further improve the product and provide a better user experience”…

Microsoft is reportedly working on a new version of its popular Windows platform. Yup, we are talking about windows 8. The company will bring a special flavor of Windows 8 to shelves in China. But before it arrived in mainland China, a website WinUnleaked.tk has already showed the public a number screenshots based on a leaked copy of a recent internal Windows 8 build, and claimed this version could be more affordable!

Probably most of you are familiar with MIUI, it is quite outstanding among the other Android-based custom ROM. Xiaomi, the developer of MIUI, is reportedly to introduce a new version of MIUI that based on Windows Phone. The rumor was brought up after Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun disclosed they’re negotiating with Microsoft to launch a Windows-based Xiaomi phone …
UPDATE: Some info about the specs of the Windows phone-base Xiaomi

A Xiaomi fanboy probably has inspired Xiaomi’s CEO to make its devices compatible with multiple operating systems after he successfully installed Windows XP on Xiaomi M1. During a conference, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun disclosed the company is in discussion with Microsoft to develop a Windows Phone-based Xiaomi phone. Also, an inside source claimed Xiaomi is planning to unveil a 1GHz dual-core smartphone that priced as low as 899 yuan ($145).
Update: Lei jun said on Weibo that they’re not planning to make a $145 low-end Xiaomi phone, they’ll rather work on the high-end category instead. Sorry guys, forget about that incredible rumor.

Don’t be deceived by the Android Robot. It’s fake. Google did not open a Android store in China yet, but probably it’s what Google considering to do in the future. These photos were taken in Zhuhai, a city on the southern coast of Guangdong province. The best part? The store is offering iPhone and Xiaomi phone, and there’s a glowing Apple logo inside it!
To mark the Chinese debut of Windows Phone, Microsoft China held an event in Beijing today. Three Chinese Windows Phone devices — the HTC Triumph (aka Titan), Nokia Lumia 800c and ZTE Mimosa — are showcased at the event, and executives from China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, Nokia, HTC, Samsung, and ZTE showed up as special guests. “When in Rome, do as the Romans do”. Microsoft and Sony Ericsson are following the Chinese tradition to give away red envelopes to Hong Kong press as a Chinese New Year gift. The design of the envelopes are unique, not simply with a trademark or greetings in old fashion way. Sony Ericsson did not choose traditional “red” color, they pick gold color instead with graphic of android robot dressed in Chinese-style clothing. While Microsoft used their Windows Phone 7 interface as the cover, all Live Tiles have become different Chinese New Year greetings. These special gift are pretty impressive and collectable …
