It is no longer called the Meizu quad-core, Meizu announced its first quad-core Android phone as the “MX 4-core” in Hong Kong. The company partnered with a local carrier PCCW mobile and a local smartphone vendor to host this launching ceremony at W Hotel – a luxury hotel in Hong Kong. Lots of Hong Kong celebrities and sexy models arrived at the press, and they were invited to promote the quad-core speed and the voice function of Meizu MX. Check out the glorious launch with video and photos after the break.
Meizu CEO Jack Wong previously told fans on his forum that the quad-core version of the Meizu MX will probably arrive around May with revamped UI. The latest news we have today is that the quad-core Meizu MX will contain Samsung’s new quad-core Exynos 4412 processor that overclocks at 1.8GHz. The phone will come with an updated FlyMe OS which will be based on Android 4.0, and Jack Wong has recently posted screenshots of the new Flyme OS’s UI.
