Lenovo has just announced the third generation of LePhone handset in Chinese market. The new S880 is a 5-inch TFT touchscreen smartphone cum tablet running the latest Android OS. Like Samsung Galaxy Note, S880 is aimed at users who want one device in place of a tablet and smartphone. It is powered by MTK low-power single core CPU, screen resolution at 800 x 480-pixel, 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM. Other features include 5-megapixel rear AF camera along with a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, built-in GPS, dual-SIM slot supports GSM and WCDMA, battery with 2250mAh capacity, 9.9mm (0.39 inches) thick and weighs 200 grams (0.44 pounds). “Le” means happiness in Chinese and also is the first two characters of Lenovo. The old version of Lephone is called Ophone, this mobile had been mentioned in the previous post. And this time, the latest version of Lenovo’s mobile phone, Lephone becomes one of the smartphones that had been presented at CES 2010. The most interesting part of the Lephone is the built-in Android OS and the external keyboard which could join the mobile together as one piece.
