Using iPad as menu has become a useful advertising strategy to dominant the flow of customers in China. Apparently, it is because there are not many people in China have tried using iPad before. In fact, the use of iPad menu would increase its competitiveness among the others, where most customers are more likely to enter a restaurant that has iPad instead. But if you have an iPad, then that’s nothing special.
iPad 2 is finally available in Hong Kong today! Long lines are generated outside reseller stores while it’s raining heavily… Some customers even waited in line for over 12 hours. Awesome. Video and lots of photos after the break!!!
UPDATE: More videos!
Finally, the wait is over. Apple is finally launching the iPad 2 in Hong Kong and China. Hong Kong Apple fanboys will be able to purchase the iPad 2 this coming Friday through Apple online store and authorized resellers. As for China, the Wi-Fi model will be available on May 6th, no words on the 3G model yet, maybe Apple is still getting a license for that? Next, the white iPhone 4. Apple has finally announced it will release the white iPhone 4 tomorrow around the world, including Hong Kong and China. You can get them with 2 year contract and if you hate to be tied with a silly contract, you can head to the Apple online store and grab it with contract-free.
Recently, we spotted a knockoff iPad in Australia! It is being sold in the city of Melbourne for around $300-$400 AUD ($322-$430 USD), just selling about the same price as Apple iPad. Ridiculously, that store has an interesting name, called “iStore“, sounds like a knockoff Apple store. The owner of the shop is an Asian, who told us that is not a knockoff iPad, but obviously it is…and he also said this device is get from an unknown distributer. Well, maybe there are even more shops in Australia selling knockoff iPad…If you are interested and you are in Melbourne, check out this store, we have their address after this break.
I bet you’ve heard the news of researchers discovering that the iPhone keeps a minute-by-minute, time-stamped log of everywhere you go. That’s right: Your iPhone is tracking your every move, and here’s an animation illustrating how evil Steve Jobs really is on collecting your data. Video after the break.
Turning the iPad 2 into a cake is one awesome idea, and someone in China did it. It looks super creamy, and very thick. Even more interestingly, it is stored in an iPad box! Close-up photos after the jump!
I’m sure you’ve picked up a smart cover from the Apple store for your beloved iPad 2. Yeah, you may just want a Smart Cover to protect your iPad 2 screen without covering up its durable aluminum back, however, for those who wants something to protect the back of the iPad 2, here comes the problem. Well, there’s a solution for that. Grab a Back Cover to protect the back, while keeping the Smart Cover attached to protect the screen. Yes, both covers made a perfect match together while keeping the thin, sleek and flat-out amazing look of iPad 2. Enjoy a promo video after the break!
We don’t think so. While Apple fanboys in Hong Kong are looking out for the launch date of iPad 2 in the city, there’s an ad on the web giving them a clue, yeah, at least an exact date, April 15. However, the ad does not mention anything about Apple, or iPad 2. It just shows some Hong Kong celebrities using their fingers to touch, flick, and pinch the air. Pretty creative, one more video after the break.
Chinese Apple fanboys are happy to hear this. Recently, the Chinese government has granted China Compulsory Certification (3C) to Apple’s iPad 2. Well, for those who are not aware, since May 1st, 2002, China has required a mandatory license (3C) to sell a product in China. The license will be issued to a product after passing a series of test and this certificate will be valid for five years. So, iPad 2 is now approved to be sold in the country with the license, and has a validity of five years, expiring on April 8, 2016. One more thing, with this 3C license, it tells us that the iPad 2 could be available locally in a matter of months. Just. Be. Patient.
Remember Mr. Lo?
