After months-long wait, Chinese residents who could not afford an iPad 2 can now get an iPad 2 knockoff for just 700 yuan (about $108) from the gadget markets in Shenzhen, Huaqiangbei. It is very affordable, but we are looking at crappy specs on this thing.
500 iPad 2s seized from the grey market of Hong Kong… the story continues. 24 people were arrested for alleged bribery in relation to the sale of iPad 2, including 13 members of staff from branches of Hong Kong-based electronics-chain Fortress, and 11 so-called parallel traders who buy goods in Hong Kong to sell for profit over the border in China. What really happened to these people is that the staff of the electronics chain are suspected of accepting bribes from the traders in return for revealing the arrival time and date of the next batch of stock for the iPad 2 and helping them purchase large quantities. Right now, Apple is notably concerned about the matter, and Fortress is on the brink of losing their license to sell Apple products. News report after the break.
This is what happened when store employees get secret rebates from line waiters for revealing the arrival time and date of the next batch of stock for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4. Check out the inside story and videos after the break.

Not enough money to get an iPad 2? You can sell your kidney for it, only if you are silly enough to do that. Here’s the story. A 17-year-old kid, named Zheng from China, wanted an original iPad 2 desperately, but he is poor. “Fortunately”, he met an organ buyer organization online and received a message from the organization telling him that if he were to sell his kidney, he could get 20,000 yuan (about $3,000) plus some bonus. So he traded his kidney for an iPad 2, and got an iPhone at the same time. He was happy, but now regrets it. News report after the break.

Finally, the wait is over. Apple is finally launching the iPad 2 in Hong Kong and China. Hong Kong Apple fanboys will be able to purchase the iPad 2 this coming Friday through Apple online store and authorized resellers. As for China, the Wi-Fi model will be available on May 6th, no words on the 3G model yet, maybe Apple is still getting a license for that? Next, the white iPhone 4. Apple has finally announced it will release the white iPhone 4 tomorrow around the world, including Hong Kong and China. You can get them with 2 year contract and if you hate to be tied with a silly contract, you can head to the Apple online store and grab it with contract-free.
Turning the iPad 2 into a cake is one awesome idea, and someone in China did it. It looks super creamy, and very thick. Even more interestingly, it is stored in an iPad box! Close-up photos after the jump!
