[UPDATE] The Grand Opening of Hong Kong third’s Apple Store in Causeway Bay was held at 9 a.m. this morning. Over hundreds of Apple fans lined up outside the retail store, where one Apple fans even brought a birthday cake to the store to celebrate her birthday with Apple’s staffs members and her friends. Furthermore, Causeway’s Apple Store took over IFC Mall’s Apple Store as Hong Kong’s biggest Apple Store and have became world’s priciest Apple Store.

Apple has been looking for two sites in Chengdu to open its Apple Store, where the one on Chenghua district in the high end development MixC city has just announced on Apple’s China official site, it will have a grand opening ceremony together with Hong Kong’s third Apple Store in the morning this Saturday. In 2010, Apple announced a plan of opening 25 stores in China by the end of 2012. Today, Apple has five retail stores in China, two in Beijing, three in Shanghai, but none in South China region where major cities such as Shenzhen and Chengdu are located. Since there are always huge crowds gathering outside the China Apple stores, Apple definitely need more points of sale in the country to disperse the crowds (especially scalpers).
