Gigabyte, the Taiwanese well-known motherboard company, has revealed its new X11, a new 11-inch notebook that it is calling the world’s first all-carbon fiber notebook as well as the world’s lightest. The 11.6-inch MacBook Air weighs a mere 1,080 grams (2.38 pounds), but the X11 has it beat. It comes in 105 grams lighter at just 975 grams (2.14 pounds). Gigabyte New Machinery Can Fit 15 Components to a Motherboard in One Second (Video)

Their new SMT machine now can fit 15 SMD components a second to a motherboard, up from 10 components per second when compared to the machines used in the other production lines.
