
People have been waiting for this exciting hybrid device after Asus has been showing off its PadFone concept for nearly a year. Finally, it debut in MWC just a couple of months ago, and it started taking pre-orders in Taiwan yesterday. ASUS big wigs like Jonney Shih & Jerry Shen were presented in the ceremony and announced pre-order starting April 6 and would be hitting the streets on April 20. The company also disclosed Padfone will be heading to a few other countries including Singapore, Hong Kong & Germany, but they didn’t provide with a specific time frame.
China Telecom, the country’s third-largest mobile telco, is finally ready to sell the iPhone 4S on March 9th, with online reservations beginning March 2nd. The carrier has also revealed its contract plans. Chinese consumers who sign a three-year contract can get a free iPhone 4S 16GB model or a 32GB model if they pay up for a minimum of 289 yuan (US$46) per month of 3G data, SMS, and calls.

A CDMA version of the phone could launch on China’s third largest wireless carrier as early as late February or early March. The phone is currently available in China only through China Unicom, which has a three-year agreement to offer the device there. However, Apple has for months been rumored to be working on deals with China Telecom. Today, the contract plans of China Telecom’s iPhone 4S has leaked, check it out after the break.
