Malata is a Chinese manufacturer of DVD players and in the same time, a PC maker. At this year’s Computex, they have got a few tablets on show, joining the battle of tablet devices. Because of the terrible suicide tragedies that happened at China Foxconn, scuffles erupted in Taiwan biggest tech fair opening. Several Taiwan’s labor activists tried to enter into the exhibition center where Taiwan President was opening Asia’s biggest technology fair. The protesters, who were shouting “Capitalists kill people” and holding pictures of Foxconn CEO Terry Gou, and Steve Jobs of course, fought with police as they tried to deliver a letter to the Taiwan President. Slogan has written on Steve Jobs portraits, describe him as “the bloodsucker of OEM profit”, as for Foxconn CEO, Terry Gou is the “deadly ghost of overtime work”. Well, it seems that Steve Jobs’ social image is really badly affected by Foxconn. Hope that Apple has really found a solution to settle with Foxconn. [Taiwan News]
