And this is making China grow like a massive intranet and isolating itself from the rest of the world. The U.S. official is now pressing China to explain why its “national firewall” blocks so many U.S. companies from providing their services via the Internet.

The dissident Chinese Artists Ai Weiwei had showed up across international news headline since he was arrested and detained without charge by the Chinese government for 81-days. Ai was released by the government but still carrying an accusation of $2.4m tax evasion that had to be paid within 15 days. From now on, he still got about 10 days to collect the fund. If he didn’t pay the penalty, his wife could go to jail. The incident drew lot of his supporters to give out helping hands.

Look like the Chinese want to clean up its spooky brown polluted air, especially in the city of Beijing. Air China, the Beijing-based airline company, has became the first Chinese carrier to conduct a demonstration flight powered in part by biofuel, indicating the alternative energy’s possible use in future commercial flights in China. The Chinese carrier made the flight with a Boeing 747-400. The jumbo jet took off and landed successfully at Beijing Capital International Airport after the one-hour test flight. The use of alternative energy like biofuels is a way for airline companies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and lower fuel costs …

Water calligraphy is a poetic activity in China. The old Chinese will used a large brush to write Chinese characters using water instead of ink. Minutes after the characters have written on the ground, it disappear. A Canada artist came up with the idea of creating a cargo tricycle that produces the same calligraphy. He reinterprets the chinese tradition of using a water brush to write poetry in public spaces by transforming the tricycle into a poetry-writing device. It is worth mentioning that tricycles are ubiquitous in China, especially in the city of Beijing, which brings the artist’s invention closer to the Chinese culture …

The company is reportedly talking to the Chinese government about selling its Kindle products in the country, and they are not only concerned with the speed to the Chinese market but also with Chinese user needs.
