“Counter Strike” usually called “CS”, is a famous tactical first-person shooter video game that introduced by a private company in U.S.. Now in China, the PLA recently launched a similar video game specifically designed for the Chinese soldiers to improve and develop stronger tactical sense and awareness. In the following, we will have a review of “Chinese version CS”, dubbed “Glorious Mission (GM)”.
A new independent website to disclose bribery has emerged in China. It will allow Chinese internet users to report any instances of bribery and official corruption. The site was named as ‘He took the bribes’ ( Chinese translated ), and it is a non-profit public interest site that opposes corruption and greed and provides users with a convenient platform for reporting cases. Does anyone of you think that this type of ‘online justice’ can survive in China ? Definitely no, the site owner has already been ‘arrested’ by the authorities…
This is another surprising knockoff product after we saw an entire European city was cloned. A knockoff Robot! It is from two Chinese companies, their product just looks exactly the same as NEC’s PaPeRo and PaPeRo-mini. In comparison,the knockoff one has an LCD screen embedded in its chest but missing out the stereoscopic cameras and ultrasonic sensors that implemented on NEC’s PaPeRo. This knockoff robot priced at $2,980 and $3,980 RMB (about $460 and $615) for two different models. We got several videos and photos to show you how this knockoff works after the break!
Ariel, a washing powder brand introduced in UK, made an interesting commercial for China, showing Wiimotes placed into bottles of ketchup, mustard, and soy sauce to create digital stain on world’s largest t-shirt. Another Wiimote was also placed in a bottle Ariel to clean the stains up. Well, this could raise awareness of the Ariel brand in China, and increase sales of the product. Out of a surprise, the Motorola Droid 3 is now official in China, where it’s being called the Milestone 3 (the European and Asian name for the Droid series.) The Gingerbread (Android 2.3) phone first got previewed last week where it landed in the hands of Chinese website xda.cn. Then, the new XT883 model has just been made official by Motorola, today at China Telecom’s CDMA Summit and 2011 e-Surfing 3G Handset Trade Fair in Guangzhou. We were wondering, why Motorola chooses China as the first place to launch the Droid 3? Well, according to the director of the China Telecom Device Management Center, the launch of Droid 3 in China represents a genuine milestone for China Telecom’s partnership with Motorola.
More and more tablets are coming out on the market this year, and Chinese telecom giant Huawei is ready to join in the tablet war with their 7-inch Honeycomb tablet, the MediaPad. The company first teased the MediaPad by sending out a note with an image to the tech media last week, promising the device “guaranteed to transform” one’s entertainment experience. And today, the MediaPad makes a video teaser appearance, and all we can see is the tablet’s back with a camera. And we don’t understand why the tablet has caught full attention of a man eating a burger/sandwich. Video after the break.
We can’t believe this. A super smart Chinese man from Chinese telecommunications equipment maker ZTE spent 3,000 yuan (about $460) and 3 months time to built an ultra-realistic Iron Man suit. Wearing the super cool armor, Wang stuns his office colleagues in the ZTE campus in Shanghai. Video after the jump, and his unbelievable diary of making the suit.
Google claimed their Gmail system confronted hacking again, from China as well. This is the third time since the previous attack in March as well as in 2009. With the recent hack, it was particularly targeted on Google e-mail accounts of top US officials, military personnel and journalists. This attack could raise the tension of cyber-wars.
