Acer Plans to Launch US$99 Android Tablet in CES

Acer is planning to launch a 7-inch super cheap tablet next month (CES 2013 ? ) called the Iconia B1, as the Taiwanese PC maker looks to expand its reach in the handheld market. According to the Wall Street Journal, Acer Iconia B1 will come with a very low price tag. Going head to head with the likes of the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD, Acer is so-say planning on stealing the show by offering the Iconia B1 for just US$99 (616 yuan). The small tablet device will pack a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display – neither of which matches the power and output of its closest rivals …

TP-LINK, the well-known Chinese networking equipment company which based in Shenzhen, has introduced the new T882 Android smartphone last month. The new handset is on sale in China right now, priced at 1250 yuan (US$196). It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, powered by 1.4-gigahertz single core processor. Other features include 4.0-inch WVGA-screen, 768MB RAM and 2GB ROM, 8 megapixels camera, dual LED flash and weighted 148 grams (5.22 ounces). TP-LINK will soon released another cheaper version of T882, with lower specification, priced at 950 yuan (US$149). You can check out the hands-on preview after the jump.
