This is real. Apple has just announced the iPhone 4 will officially launch in China on September 25th. Both official Apple retail stores and China Unicom stores will open their doors for iPhone 4 customers at 8 am. Customers can enjoy the off-contract pricing set for CNY4,999 ($745) and CNY5,999 ($890) for the 16 GB and 32 GB models respectively. Guess what, we have got one on our hands now!
Since the iPad is confirmed to hit China, additional bits of information on China availability for iPhone 4 are beginning to trickle out. Rumors are now spinning that China Unicom will announce the iPhone 4 on September 15, and launch on September 20. There will be a non-contract offer at the Beijing and Shanghai Apple retail stores, a 16GB iPhone 4 would be 4,880 yuan (about $720) , and 5,660 yuan ($837) for 32GB model.
