China Censors are Jamming the BBC World Service Shortwave Radio

This is kind of weird, it’s almost like going back to 1990s where radio is one of the most important media broadcasts. We doubt there is anyone listening to the BBC English radio in China. The BBC has said their shortwave broadcasts in English of World Service radio are being jammed here. The British news corporation said it was not possible to determine exactly where the blocking was coming from and the company condemns the action which disrupt audiences’ free access to news and information. The BBC has experienced several instances of satellite services being jammed in recent years, but shortwave jamming is less frequent.
