Apple has made a case for their beautifully-designed iPhone 4, which is called the “Bumper”. According to Apple, it slips over the stainless steel edge of iPhone 4 and it costs for $29. At the other side, we bought an iPhone 4 case made by the third parties and it’s just $20 Chinese Yuan (about $3). So, what’s the difference between the two?
Looks like not everyone is happy to see the new product’s announcement from Apple. Some protesters in Hong Kong show up and accuse Apple and Foxconn for their poor corporate ethics after a recent spate of suicides at the Shenzhen factory in China. About 30 demonstrators gather outside a hotel function room where HK Foxconn having their shareholders meeting. They were waving a cardboard cutout of Steve Jobs with devil’s horns and another placard featuring the company logo and the words “Bloody Apple”. While the whole world is waiting for the keynote from Steve Jobs, a Chinese tech website has brought us some official pictures of the new iPhone. Cases on smuggling Apple iPad to China from Hong Kong have been increased. According to Guangzhou Daily news report, starting from April, Shenzhen Customs has track down 309 cases regarding travelers carrying iPad into China mainland, and a total of 394 iPads has been spotted. 59 cases are suspected to be illegal smuggling, among all cases, one China citizen has carried 7 iPads without declaration.
The WWDC keynote is just around the corner and here’s a new rumor about the next iPhone. Apparently, someone has pre-ordered the “iPhone 4G” in Hong Kong and the price is exactly the same as the iPhone 3GS. And, his already pre-ordered iPhone will be ready to pick up in two weeks’ time. One more thing, the device will be put on shelves on the 18th of June…

Because of the terrible suicide tragedies that happened at China Foxconn, scuffles erupted in Taiwan biggest tech fair opening. Several Taiwan’s labor activists tried to enter into the exhibition center where Taiwan President was opening Asia’s biggest technology fair. The protesters, who were shouting “Capitalists kill people” and holding pictures of Foxconn CEO Terry Gou, and Steve Jobs of course, fought with police as they tried to deliver a letter to the Taiwan President. Slogan has written on Steve Jobs portraits, describe him as “the bloodsucker of OEM profit”, as for Foxconn CEO, Terry Gou is the “deadly ghost of overtime work”. Well, it seems that Steve Jobs’ social image is really badly affected by Foxconn. Hope that Apple has really found a solution to settle with Foxconn. [Taiwan News]
