The are about 750,000 Android app developers in China while the number of Apple’s app developers stands at 140,000. Although the number of Android app developers in China is much more than Apple, the Chinese developers are earning more profits from the Apple platform. Chinese developers have earned US$48 million for developing and outsourcing for Apple, 18 times more compare to Android platform. There are 60 percent of Apple app developers are making money in China, but the same percentage of Android developers are losing money or just able to break-even …
China Mobile, the largest mobile carrier in the world, still does not have an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone to its 655 million customers. Despite that, China Mobile has announced that it has surpassed 15 million iPhone users on their network in China. The carrier has added more than five million users since last year October, a rate of more than 35,000 users per day. Those customers can use text, voice and only 2G data, however China Mobile has built out a nationwide Wi-Fi network to make up for its 3G shortcomings …

A real estate company in Heifei, the capital city of Anhui Province in Eastern China, had held a kissing contest as part of their promotional activities. Contestants can win an Apple iPad2 for having the most innovative kiss or a 1 carat diamond ring for having the longest kiss. The contest has attracted 63 pairs of couples to participate. ABC News’s Nightline went inside Foxconn’s plants in China to see conditions on and off Apple’s assembly lines, in a special broadcast that air yesterday night. The evaluation of Foxconn’s factories is only exclusive at ABC News. After the widely regarded success of Xiaomi Phone and its collaboration with China Telecom, CEO Lei Jun is thinking deeper to make his next move. With no evident mode of surprise, the company had suddenly ventured into the tablet market. Japan company Mobile In Style has launched a 7 inch tablet device this week and it is co-developed with Xiaomi. The new 7 inch Eden Tab and the Xiaomi Phone shares the same Original Design Manufacturer (ODM), but the tablet wasn’t able to inherit Xiaomi’s famous MIUI software …
