Anti-Japan protests swept across China over the last weekend, which caused massive damages to all Japanese-related things in China and gave an opportunity for some rioters looting and mayhem in the country. The Taiwanese media, Next Media Animation, commented the Chinese authorities have been playing both sides of the issue by encouraging anti-Japanese protests, while publicly stopping them.
