
Shanghai Animation Film Studio, China’s first and official animation factory, sued Apple for hosting applications containing unlicensed versions of their works on its App Store that were available for download, demanding a total compensation of 3.3 million yuan (around $530,000 USD) from Apple for violating the copyrights of their 110 works.
It’s been a while since we featured an NMA report on M.I.C.gadget, but the ironically and amusing animation is back again with this cutting video about the headquarter of Chinese hacker troops in Shanghai. Taiwanese animation studio NMA takes on Prime Minister Wen Jiabao’s “hidden riches”, which exposed in an article by New York Times last week. Chinese authorities have already banned New York Times website for reporting the story. The investigation has showed that much of the Premier’s wealth has been accumulated in areas of the economy over which he has direct authority. This kind of breaking news is usually good material for NMA to make fun with it. Some of the humorous plot we don’t really quite understand, especially when it comes to Apple’s iPhone. According to NYT report, the family business ventures received support from state owned corporations such as the nation’s largest mobile phone operator. China Mobile has formed start-ups with Wen Jiabao’s son. We hope someone can explain to us what the hell is Apple’s gadget related to the political scandal ? Is it some kind of analogy ?

Taiwan Next Media Animation has released a new hilarious video, address the issue of males passengers have been seen masturbating aboard Cathay flights. The animation is super funny and promiscuous, and of course Cathay Pacific is not happy on the insulting. The Hong Kong Airline company first sought to limit distribution of the video, claiming the animation violated YouTube’s community standard guidelines. Then they asked YouTube to remove the video altogether under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, claiming NMA had violated Cathay’s copyright. The Foxconn’s Taiyuan plant was closed after a massive riot broke out on Monday, and caused at least one iPhone 5 production line damaged. Workers at the factory were back to work on Tuesday. So will there be another riot? What will the workers do to get the world’s attention?

Anti-Japan protests swept across China over the last weekend, which caused massive damages to all Japanese-related things in China and gave an opportunity for some rioters looting and mayhem in the country. The Taiwanese media, Next Media Animation, commented the Chinese authorities have been playing both sides of the issue by encouraging anti-Japanese protests, while publicly stopping them. The Chinese government might have to suffer the consequences of one’s action.

The new iPhone will have a bigger display to compete with Android smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note that has a freakishly large 5.3-inch display. So how Apple is going to do it?
