
If you want to get a 10-inch tablet, then you’re probably looking at $300 – $480 USD that produced by big brands like Lenovo, Huawei, Acer, Asus. But what we have brought here today is tablet just cost 1,299 yuan (about $210 USD). The specs look quite pleasing actually since it’s arguably cheap among the others. We will go through its specs after the break.
It’s a pleasant surprise to see Japanese electronics maker NEC re-entering the mobile terminal market in China after a six-year respite. Recently, NEC held a press conference in Beijing and the company announced it will provide mobile phone-based cloud computing services to corporate users and sell smartphones at retail stores. With the new 909e, NEC hopes the Chinese will love this waterproof, dustproof and shockproof Android smartphone that can withstand any conditions. More photos and video after the break.

One of the coolest features of a tablet is that you can plug an HDMI cable directly into it and play games on a bigger screen. With some games, like Real Racing or Asphalt, you can even then use your tablet as your controller. We recently came across with a Chinese tablet called the GT-PAD F1 that is capable to do gaming quite well, and we think we will buy one after watching the lengthy hands-on video below.
Huawei is showing off a new 10-inch Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet with a quad-core processor and high resolution 1920 x 1200 pixel display at Mobile World Congress this week. With Apple expected to soon take the wraps off an iPad 3 complete with “Retina” 2048 x 1536 resolution, it would seem Huawei is also set to make display quality a top priority going forward.

Aigo, a China-based consumer electronics company, recently announced that it will be bringing its a new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich slates to the market. There seems to be no shortage of ultra-cheap Android 4.0 tablets these days, and Aigo certainly has some of the most budget-friendly models around, with prices starting at 999 RMB (US$160).
It’s not the first time we see a Chinese clone of Steve Jobs, but watching this Taiwanese Steve Jobs impersonator with angel wings and a halo emitting a “reality distortion field” from the stage has pretty much made my day! Video after the break.

Remember the 9,999 Yuan Android Tablet (Hongpaiyihao)? Its maker had finally explained why their product cost so much. They claimed all the pre-installed applications worth over 70% of the device’s original cost and they suggested making its tablet expensive would make it more like a high-end product. An unknown Chinese manufacturer launched a 9.7-inch Android tablet “Hongpaiyihao (Red Group Number One)” with a shocking 9,999 RMB (US$1,580) price tag, which is about twice the price of an iPad. The machine comes with a fancy leather case that’s embossed with in gold with the product’s name. The maker of this tablet emphasized this is “tailor-made for government officials”, this is insane…

Asus is getting ready to sell this blatant copy of Apple’s Smart Cover for their soon-to-be released Tranformer Prime tablet. Yeap, it’s much the same deal as with the Smart Cover, save for the slightly different folding pattern. It flexes into a more complicated 3D shape to prop the Prime in place.
