Dual booting Android and Windows Mobile on a smartphone is somewhat impossible but the knockoff makers did it today. The HTC Diamond 2 is a fine phone powered with WinMo OS and this knockoff lets you get the best of both worlds.

Isn’t it amazing? Users can switch to Android 2.0 and WinMo 6.5 whenever they like. They run with no problems at all.

It has a 3.2-inch touchscreen (240×400) with no multi-touch support. Users get a 5 mega-pixels camera with autofocus capability, Wi-Fi and other basic functions you see in a phone. Also, it is powered with a 624Mhz processor, strong enough to handle multi-tasking on the device.

Surprisingly, this knockoff is built-in with accelerometer. What it lacks of is 3G and Multi-Touch display. Comparing with the real HTC Touch Diamond 2, it gives you two mobile OS for the price of one. It cost $1380 RMB (about $200), a must to get one if you are both Android and WinMo fanboy.

Chinese designer Xu Yan Xiang had a pretty crazy idea of putting smiley faces on bread by using a toaster with breakthrough features and design. Oh man, this is cool.

You might wonder how does it works. Well, it’s said to be using electric-heating nano-membrane (the technology in hair straighteners) to iron different smiley faces on the bread. Moreover, the toaster has a transparent design and timer display. I’m totally clueless about how to use this thing.

Well, hope you knew about the Dell’s made-for China Mobile Mini3i. It’s basically an Android phone with a Dell logo, nothing special about it except for the 3.5-inch touchscreen and Micro SD card slot it features. Here’s a knockoff which looks similar as the Dell Mini 3i, but it has a Verizon logo and powered with Symbian OS.

On the back of the phone, you get a big Dell logo and the China’s 3G symbol. Also, the phone gives you a 3 mega-pixel camera.

It’s strange to see a Verizon logo on the face of the phone. Can you guess what is it for?

It has a 3.2-inch touchscreen, slightly smaller than the real one. The functions are just like any phones, but no Wi-Fi. We are not attracted to it, but with a price tag of $600 RMB (about $88), it’s definitely worth a try.

Apple’s iPad is coming soon and we are all excited about it. However, Meizu’s CEO Jack Wong is not interested with the iPad and he had made some interesting comments about iPad knockoffs.

Jack is not interested on making an iPad knockoff just like its Meizu M8. Also, he said cloning the iPad is a disgrace to do so.

We all know that the iPad comes with a good software featuring millions of iPhone apps for us to have the best way to experience the web, email, photos and video. The knockoffs could not do all these stuff and they just have a similar design and cheaper price. I can say that it’s a waste of time for the knockoff makers to copy the iPad or other Apple products.

The HTC Hero was a great Android smartphone previously. Almost everyone love it, including the knockoff makers. So, they coped it and it looks and feels as good as the real one. However, there’s something missing in it.

Alright, there’s no Android OS provided for you in this phone. It’s powered with Windows Mobile 6.5 with a Android wannabe theme.

Surprisingly, Wi-Fi is available in it since most phone in China do not built-in with Wi-Fi.

This knockoff brings you a 3.2-inch touchscreen display (320×480), 5 megapixels camera and supports CDMA and GSM network. Also, users get the capability to use 2 SIM cards together while operating the machine.

White color looks much nicer.

This HTC Hero knockoff sells for $950RMB (about $140). I will get one if it comes with Android OS.

Just in case you miss this. Shanghai had a special event during the Chinese New Year, the Lantern Festival. It’s held annually and the locals would not miss the chance to take photos of the beautiful decorations in it. Here we have some pics for you.

The Chinese Lantern Festival 2010 was being held in Yuyuan Garden, the finest garden in Shanghai. The whole place is decorated with tons of Chinese lanterns.

There are some stalls in the garden selling souvenirs. Tourists may like it.

2010 is the year of tiger in China, and the Chinese would not miss the chance to admire the tiger.

You will not believe that you are in a garden if you were there.

Food stalls are everywhere and I can say that they make a lot of profit in these festivals.
