Since the iPhone 4 launch, Apple has been unable to curb this lucrative business in China and Hong Kong. Yesterday, Apple has opened their 7th Apple store in mainland China, and it is located at Shenzhen, which is an emerging megalopolises in southern region of China. Shenzhen is also a home to Foxconn, Apple’s primary contract manufacturer for iOS devices. It also happens to be the center of the grey market business in China, where the city is a turning point of supplying smuggle iPhone from Hong Kong. The new Shenzhen Holiday Plaza store is a significant one as it represent Apple trying to take a bite out of the grey market, which is always a thorn in Apple’s side …

Apple is gearing up to open its third store in Beijing. Taking the title as the largest store in Asia, the three-story location demonstrates Apple’s heavy investment to court the Chinese market. The new store in Beijing brings the total number of Apple Stores in China to six. China is also getting their 7th store relatively soon, the upcoming first Apple store in Shenzhen. Media reports leaked out showing workers installing lights and tables for the new store. Apple is also planning more stores in other cities like Dalian, Chengdu and Guangzhou. The company’s goal is to eventually serve many customer in every major cities, however, we are concerned about whether this will help to meet the high demand of iPhone 5 in the country. A Chinese casual consumer just want to know whether they can easily purchase an iPhone 5 while they walk-in to the new store …
UPDATE: 10 deaths have occurred from Foxconn Taiyuan riot, according to CPCW (China Popular Computer Week). However, Foxconn confirms that no employee deaths have occurred from the riot.
Things just cant get any better for Foxconn in China. We have exclusive news on a riot breaking out at Foxconn’s Taiyuan plant, the main location where 57 million units of iPhone 5 need to built for each year. 2,000 workers were involved in the mass brawl at the factory, and 5,000 police officers were called. But the most terrible thing is that at least one iPhone 5 production line got damaged. More details and videos after the jump.

We mentioned previously that Apple will be making its big push into China very soon. It seems our sources were correct on this but we have some rather shocking news. Apple will not be hiring Chinese locals to lead the stores, instead they will be hiring foreign workers and bringing them over. Why are they doing this? Jump past to find out.
