
An unusual levels of mercury has been found in baby milk powder produced by China’s top dairy producer – Yili. After government inspectors discovered the mercury contamination, the company has started recalling its baby formula products for children six months to three years old that was produced from last November to this May. The inspectors has examined samples from 715 infant formula products, covering all domestic’s formula producers. Yili is the only baby milk powder company known to have a mercury contamination problem.
