Let’s face it—I’ve liked everything I’ve seen on the MacBook Air knockoff so far, but this white MacBook wannabe looks pretty amazing. It comes with a built-in DVD optical drive, or dual batteries, check out the details below to know more about this mutant.
It has three awesome features: A built-in DVD optical drive, dual batteries, and Nvidia ION 2. However, you can’t get the DVD-ROM and the dual batteries at the same time, you can only pick one and gets an option to upgrade for ION 2 graphics. Basically, this white MacBook knockoff is powered by Intel Atom D510 1.66GHz processor with GMA 3150 graphics, includes 1GB of RAM (support up to 2GB), 160GB / 320GB hard drive, 13.3 inch widescreen display (1366 X 768), three USB 2.0 ports, VGA-out, HDMI-out (optional), LAN port, SD card slot, and removable 2400mAh battery.
Sadly, there’s no glowing Apple logo on the lid, we just see Lethink.
It does not have a Multi-Touch trackpad, just the basic touchpad we often see on laptops.
Users can access the RAM, hard drive and the battery from the bottom. Very convenient.
This is the built-in DVD optical drive which supports read & write of DVD±R, DVD±RW and CD-RW.
Getting excited? You can purchase this white MacBook knockoff from GOME, one of the largest privately-owned electrical appliance retailer in Mainland China, for 2,999 yuan (about $444) with default configuration of 2GB RAM, 320GB hard drive and Intel graphics. You need to add 300 yuan ($44) to upgrade to ION 2 graphics, and this offer will only be available by October. According to sources, looks like there’s an OEM version for this white MacBook knockoff, with no brand and cheaper price tag. We hope to get one for a review so please stay tuned…
P.S The machine can run up to 3 hours and 28 minutes with dual batteries…
