Here’s the new tweaked version of the 7-inch iPad wannabe. The knockoff makers threw out the old resistive touchscreen that we hate to touch and swapped in a capacitive panel like the one in Apple’s iPhone and iPad. Engineers claim that the touch response was far better with capacitive, and at least in this device, it simply made more sense.
What we don’t like about with the iPad knockoff or wannabe is the crappy touchscreen display. It’s not responsive, and we terribly need a stylus to touch the screen, WTF… And now, the knockoff makers are trying their best to solve the problem, so they are swapping in capacitive touchscreen on this 7-inch iPad wannabe. For the specs, you’ll get a 7-inch 800 x 480 display (capacitive), along with a 800 MHz Telechips 8902 ARM 11 processor, 256MB of RAM, 2GB/4GB of on-board storage, Android 2.1 OS, two mini-USB ports, built-in 3200mAh battery, a microSD card slot for expansion, and built-in WiFi and GPS.

There’s a front-facing camera located beside the home button. Not sure about the megapixel.

Speaker is on the back and there’s no logo printed on it.

Sitting on the left is the 7-inch wannabe with capacitive touchscreen, while the one on the right is the old model which comes with resistive touchscreen.
We are really excited with this device, it has 2 great things, Android OS and the capacitive touchscreen. We hope it’s equipped with Android 2.2 and supports multitouch. What’s the price? It’s only $1050 Chinese yuan (about $155). This price tag is not confirmed yet, and we are hoping to see a video showing how well the touch response is. Anyone got one?
