Animated News: Philippines Hostage Crisis

This tragedy ends with many dead where eight Hong Kong tourists were killed. Here’s the story, a Philippines ex-police hijacks 25-person bus, the hostages are mostly Hong Kong tourists and some were set free, and some survived, but a lot of the hostages are dead. After a deep investigation, the Philippines’ police have mistakenly killed a few hostages during the crazy shootout, click in to watch an animation simulating the whole incident.

This is insane, the hijacker seized a tourist bus and opened fire at his hostages with a M16 rifle. The Philippines’ police is a mess, acting slow and storming the bus without taking care of the hostages’ lives. The whole incident was broadcast live on television in Hong Kong, and the HK people are pissed off with the silly actions carried out by the Philippines’ police. Here are more videos and photos explaining the incident.

What the police should have done in Manila bus crisis

The hijacker waving his hand saying hello, at daytime. WTF…

Philippines’ police prepare to storm the bus at night, some are carrying M16 rifles too.

Philippine President Benigno Aquino III visits the hijacked bus after the incident ends.

The families of the victims arrive in Manilla to bid farewell to their dear ones.

The local students take photos with the hijacked bus as background. HK people are mad with this act.

Philippines’ police taking photo with the hijacked bus too.

Looking at this tragedy, the HK people are complaining that the Philippines SWAT team was so weak to handle the operation, causing the death of some hostages. The whole rescue operation is a joke, it could be more effective if HK or Chinese police were there to help. Anyway, I think Philippines is no more a safe country to travel, it’s full of kidnaps, hijacks, and weak police.

It Just shows how Philippines Law enforcement acts. Pretty much non-discrete and untrained. They woulda faired better with a smoke grenade or a flashbang.

u expect a force that only knows how to collect bribes to execute a hostage negotiation and rescue?they cant even perform normal police duty, let alone this type of task….

Let alone the local students were taking pictures… Can’t believe the Philippines police & SWAT team were taking pictures. What a joke… Having a party? Making a laughing stock out of themselves… What a disgrace… No brains…

No mean to b rude. Those people in the bus should have the bravery mentality in the 1st place instead of cowardly wait for salvation. The world had change so much, in the event of hijack, arm or not, 1st thing you need to take your enemy down 1st at any chance you got. If no opportunity present, create one. One must bare the mentality, do or die with chance you might die like a piece of meat. Didn’t 9/11 taught us all a lesson?

Those people on the bus were women, kids, and some guys. Let’s cross out the W and K first. You following? Next. A guy tried and was shot dead. I think that did it for the crowd. And yeah I think if you were in that bus you woulda shat a brick.
