We have a Meizu M8 to compare with the old iPhones, and today, the M9 will be the biggest opponent of Apple’s iPhone 4. This is no kidding. Meizu CEO Jack has spilled the latest M9 details, the phone will run fully modified version of Android 2.2, includes a Retina-like 960 x 640 display, powered with a 1GHz processor and brings a bonus feature, 3D graphics acceleration.
So is this the best iPhone 4 wannabe? Yes. When will it be available? By the end of this year, demo units coming out in October. Any pictures showing how the phone looks like? No, but Jack has released some UI renderings for us to see what’s really inside the M9. Click the pics below to see in full resolution.

According to forum posts by Meizu CEO Jack Wong, the new M9 is confirmed to come with a custom interface which is based on Android 2.2. He also talked about the high resolution display, which measures 3.54 inch and supports multitouch. The device will be equipped with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. What’s more, all Android software should work on the M9 and there will be a M8 to M9 replacement program for users, this is still currently unclear. M9 will be soon available to public, maybe demo units will appear in October. One last thing you have to know is that the M9 will come in 16GB version.
