This is definitely not a penguin toy for kids, it’s a fully-working mobile phone for Chinese gadget geeks. Before you look at the phone, you must know China’s IM chat program first, QQ.

The SIM card trough is installed on the side of the penguin.

The battery is located in the stomach of the penguin. This is my first time to see a mobile that doesn’t have any protection for the SIM card as it plugs into a mobile.

The camera is on the back of the penguin’s head. The quality of the image taken from this phone is not listed on the instruction leaflet or the mobile, but don’t expect it will be good.

How can we think of this is a device, and this is how it looks after the mobile is open. It has a 1.5″ screen just enough to see the numbers you are dialing.

I’m very impressed with the Shanzhai manufacturers for creating this thing, but I could only possibly say this is not for long-term usage. With the cute appearance, maybe it will be a great present for kids. You can bring it home for 700RMB (about $175). What do you think?
