A knockoff product is crappy, we know that, you know that. The knockoff makers only copy the appearance of the original gadget, this Nokia N8 knockoff is a good example. It looks just like the real-deal, but not for the inside. You don’t even get a basic Symbian OS with it…
Alright, let’s look at the specifications of this N8 knockoff: you’ll get a 320 x 240 resolution display (3.2-inches), dual SIM card slots, dual camera (back and front), FM radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Java, micro SD card slot, and a “MTK” OS (that’s what the Chinese call it) which looks a bit like iPhone. So, what’s the difference with the original? It lacks a 12 megapixel camera, Symbian^3, built-in 3G support, highly impressive video functionality, and OLED screen…
On the back, it says the camera is 12 megapixel, but it’s actually 1.3 megapixel only…
The software is crappy, but the hardware is nice. For its price tag, it’s about $700-800 Chinese yuan (about $110), quite reasonable.
