It’s almost a week since the Shanghai Apple Store opened to large crowds in China. Hundreds of Apple fans were waiting overnight to be the first in the store, not to be the first to purchase Apple’s new iProducts such as the iPhone 4 and iPad. The store is the biggest attraction in the city, and we would love to bring you the interesting stuff happening in there, from day one till now.

You can’t miss the launch of the store on July 10th, it’s totally awesome. Chinese Apple fans gathered at there to celebrate the launch, with the employees of the store. They were cheering, “Shanghai, Go! go! go!“, and clapping, “Apple, Go! go! go!“. Their excitement is unstoppable. You must watch the video below.

The employees are well-prepared for the launch, gathering up at the entrance of the store, counting down the opening time with fans around them. It’s just like welcoming a brand new year.

This is the first Apple fan queuing up for the launch of the store. He was in the line for over 72 hours, showing off his homemade Steve Jobs “flag” and all kinds of Apple products he had brought along, including an iPad. The main reason why he was queuing up at such an early time is that he would like to meet more Apple fans, and share the Apple experience with each other…

One advantage for being the first visitor is that you can get great supports from the Apple store employees. And you can taste the feeling of being on top of the world.

While the fans are queuing up patiently, looks like someone is hungry and ordered the McDonald’s delivery, to the store.

Surprisingly, rain starts to fall when hundreds of Apple fans are waiting in line. Luckily, they were provided with umbrellas from the security guards of the Apple store. The umbrella looks awesome with a big Apple logo printed on it.

You would not believe there’s something embarrassing when you are visiting the store, if you are a lady. Apparently, customers in the store spotted “creepy looking” men at the bottom of the spiral staircase, peering through the gaps to catch a glimpse of the underpants of young ladies who are walking upstairs with short skirts. So, female customers are reminded to beware of these “Peeping Toms”.

I’m pleased to introduce you the first customer purchasing stuff from the Shanghai Apple store. He was glad, and the crowd around him was excited and cheering for him. It’s a kind of success, being the first person to shop in the store.

Don’t feel shy if you are not a Chinese and you’re in there. Foreigners and the locals could share the experience of using these marvelous Apple products, no matter you speak his/her language or not.

We all love Apple, including the kids in this generation. This little girl here is trying to take her first hands-on treatment on the Magic Mouse, and start using it to control the iMac. Yup, that’s how you learn a Mac.

Age is not a problem to meet the latest Apple products. This Chinese “old-lady” or I call that as middle-aged, is trying to see how does the iPod nano works. She will get used to the click-wheel in just a few minutes…

The first 5000 visitors were given free special edition t-shirts celebrating the store’s opening. There’s a very special sentence printed on the shirt, “Designed in California, Made For China“.
I can say Apple has done a great job on opening a retail store in Shanghai, especially at this time of period. The Shanghai World Expo is still running and Apple could make use of this chance to draw more visitors to its Shanghai store, and tourists could visit the Expo and the Apple store at the same time. That’s killing two birds with one stone. However, it’s kind of weird to see so many customers visiting the store, since there are no new products in there, such as the iPad and iPhone 4. Anyway, I would visit the store too since I love Apple and always hoping to see what does the Apple store looks like in front of me. I’m at Hong Kong now and I’m waiting for the Apple store to arrive here, coming December.
