I’m a big fan of Transformers, and this 10-Meters-Tall Optimus Prime which is built from waste materials has brought me a motivation to go to Beijing right away. Behind that giant Autobot, it’s the Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed “The Bird’s Nest,” the place where the Olympic Games was held way back in 2008.
The Optimus Prime “statue” has attracted lots of tourists, but they are not allowed to stand beside that thing to take photos since it’s still in construction. Basically, the machine is made out of the bodies and tires of old cars, and surprisingly, it comes from Taiwan. It’s imported into Beijing to act as an icon in some sort of events. This 10-Meters-Tall Optimus Prime is set to be displayed until 10th of October. So, if you are a fan of the Autobots, you have to act fast and roll out to Beijing!
