Sony Recalls 55,362 Laptops From Chinese Market

Due to the overheating of Vaio laptops, Sony is going to recall 55,362 units from the Chinese market, starting from June 30. The Vaio VPCF11 and VPCCW2 laptops which are produced between December 2009 and February 2010 will be recalled. The bad news is that Sony needs to handle a total of 55,362 units which are bring sold in the Chinese market…
According to the source, the overheating models could potentially burn you, but so far there have been no injuries beyond melted keyboards and casings. Besides recalling, Sony will also provide BIOS upgrade for free on their website, allowing users to upgrade the BIOS and Sony claimed that the upgrade will help the laptop keep its cool. Well, I wonder how Sony is going to recall 55,362 laptops…
