The Weirdly Awesome China Robot Olympics

A three-day robot competition was held in China and this event is promoted as the first international humanoid robot Olympics. You can see robots competing in 24 contest events involving track and field, balls, combat, and dancing. And guess what? There’s even a fencing competition…
This Humanoid Robot Olympic Games was held in Harbin, China’s Heilongjiang Province. A total of 18 universities from China, South Korea and the United States has attended this event and what makes it interesting is that the rules were similar to the Olympic Games which humans compete in. Among all the games, the made-in-china robots performed very well in soccer and there’s even a dancing group formed by 8 robots. Woah, it’s such a pity we’re not there.
