What makes visitors queue up for more than 5 hours in Shanghai Expo?

Have you ever queue up for more than 5 hours before? In Shanghai Expo, you never get away from a crowd of people queue up outside each themed pavilions. Queue up for pavilions are basically the only thing that visitors will do. Saudi Pavilion had caused people to queue for about 8 hours. This is crazy, but what makes people do that?
