Malata Shows Off Tablets At Computex

Malata is a Chinese manufacturer of DVD players and in the same time, a PC maker. At this year’s Computex, they have got a few tablets on show, joining the battle of tablet devices. Malata’s new tablets are powered by Windows 7 or Google’s Android and these iPad wannabes look interesting in different ways.

For the Windows 7 model, it’s a 10.1-inch, Intel Atom-powered tablet with multi-touch display. The processor is available in 2 choices, a 1.66GHz or 1.83GHz, and the device includes a 2.5-inch drive, USB ports, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS. No word on availability and price yet.

For the Android model, it’s a 10.1-inch Tegra 2-powered tablet with multi-touch display. It runs Android 2.1 OS and includes a HDMI port, a micro-SD card slot and built-in accelerometer. Price and availability are unknown.
