The cause of death is unknown, but his families claimed that the reason behind the death was due to the long hours of overworking. Yan Li, 28-year-old, felt breathless and died shortly when he was off-duty, resting at home. Before Yan Li died, he was on duty for over 34 hours non-stop at the factory. His wife claimed that he often have to work day and night, and recently his spirit is low. Foxconn has made some response, saying that the company has relevant principles and procedures for their employee deaths, the victim’s family can seek for legal assistance or labor department for help. At the meantime, there is still no news report on this from any media in China due to the Government’s censorship action. We are wondering now, how good is the health condition on every Foxconn employee ? Long period of overwork can really hurt your health.
