Boot-shaped Building Becomes the Most Wacky Landmarks in Shanghai

front

Yet another oddly shaped building has been erected in China and it has become an internet hit. The building is located at Shanghai’s Hongqiao Business District. It has gained a lot of attention because Chinese netizens find it looks exactly like a riding boot. The nearly finished architectural wonder is called the Hisayoshi Center. First-class products of global luxury brands will be sold in the 140,000-square meter business center. The building is now in trial operation. The “Riding Boot” will properly join the hall of fame of other strange looking Chinese buildings. Few more pics after the jump.

This “thing” begs the question, why would anyone want a building designed in that shape. It joins the pantheon of ugly, rehashed and derivative buildings that puncture the skylines of so many cities across the mainland. The architect, building owner and everyone else involved in this latest monstrosity that casts a blight on the city and neighboring buildings should be outed, debarred and banned from any future work, anywhere.
