One year ago, a smart Chinese fellow from ZTE making an ultra-realistic Iron Man Mark I suit with LED bulbs. Today, it’s believed to be the same person who made an Iron Man Mark III’s helmet. The coolest part of this helmet is it has full mobility and pair of glowing eyes. There’s a short clip that takes us through the making process including molding, sculpting, colorizing, polishing and composing.
[UPDATE]: Quite a number of our reader have asked about buying this helmet, so we have contacted the maker. And good news for everyone, he could still produced some to sell it oversea. We are still discussing the price and shipping. Stay tune … Sorry for not answering all the request from our reader.
[UPDATE 2]: Added some new photo. We have contacted the helmet maker located in Beijing. Looks like he doesn’t have too much time to spare for taking oversea order. He has been taking local orders since a few month ago, and there are still many Chinese customer in the waiting list. A new patch of production will start next month, and expected to be shipped in early August. The technical info of the helmet, it’s made of fiber glass plus epoxy resin, the motorize cover mask and LED light are powered by 5 AA batteries, weight 800 grams. The helmet is wearable as seen in the video, but if your head is too big, sorry you cannot become the super hero (If you can wear a common baseball cap, this helmet will suit you). You can purchase the helmet in raw edition, with no coloring and electronics. At the moment, we are still discussing a final price for oversea customers, don’t expect too be cheap, it can be consider a luxury toy, but the helmet is cheaper than an unsubsidized iPhone 5.
