Next-Gen Meizu MX’s Front Panel Leaked, Hinting a Narrow Border

Untitled

Just like the iPad Mini, the next generation Meizu MX will have a thinner border on the left and right side, measured at merely 2.2mm. But according to MeizuMe, the actual device will have an even thinner frame. Allegedly, Meizu MX II will feature 4.4-inch Sharp IGZO display. The good thing about Sharp’s IGZO technology is it allows less power consumption for high-res displays and higher sensitivity on touchscreens, with far less noise to contend with. It seems very likely that Meizu MX II’s display will have 1920×1080 resolution or higher.

The rumors also suggested Meizu MX II won’t come with a physical button. But from these leaked shots, you can see clearly there’s a circular shape below the screen. It could still be a touch sensitive button though, since it does not protrude like on the current Meizu MX.

    Uhh, a 1920 x 1080 resolution on the MXII would mean 500ppi ?1?

Actually, the MXII screen is supposed to be 1280 x 800 (16:10) on a 4.4 or 4.5″ screen, which gives it a very respectable 330+ ppi.
