Batman Christian Bale has finally met with the political dissident he was trying to visit last year when the “Dark Knight Rises” star was roughed up by Chinese government guards. Bale has slated to honor Chen Guangcheng at the Human Rights First Awards. In December, Bale took an eight-hour detour from Beijing while promoting a movie to visit Chen under house arrest and got into a scuffle with guards. In April, the blind man made headlines worldwide, by escaped 19 months of house arrest and sought protection from the United States. His dramatic escape set off a diplomatic furore between the United States and China, before being allowed to leave the country with his family.
