Apple’s sixth retail store in China — the Wangfujing Street Apple Store — will open at 9 a.m. on Oct. 20. Before the grand opening, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail John Browett gave the local press in Beijing a preview of the three-story Apple store, and Apple fans in Beijing are very excited about the store after reading reports of the preview of the new Apple store landing in Wangfujing. So, some of the crazy ones, decided to queue overnight for the grand opening of the store, and here we have several photos showing Chinese Apple fans camping outside the store in freezing temperatures. Check it out after the break.

Less than 12 hours left to the grand opening of the Wangfujing Apple Store.

There’s a large display on top of the Apple store, and it now shows the new iPad.

Last minute cleaning and wiping the stunning, curved glass front of the new store.

Looks like Apple wants this store to look perfectly clean for the grand opening on following morning.

In preparation. Everyone is following orders to get ready for the grand opening of the store.

More cleaning job.

Apple employees have a meeting inside the store, and we see lots of Apple shopping bags lying on the stone floor. The bags should contain the free commemorative t-shirts that will be given to customers.

Chinese Apple fans are ready to queue up overnight.

This Chinese Apple fanboy has made a banner featuring the Gangnam Style. Quite creative.

We see all kinds of people in the queue.

This is the first man to queue up. He is going to be the first customer to step into the store at 9am. He will surely get carried by the Apple store employees into the new store by that time.

Every customer waiting in line will be given a wristband, and this could prevent line cutters.

People waiting in line have iPads with them.

Local media was on the spot to interview the hardcore queuers.

Since the Apple store is located inside the APM mall, people are allowed to go into the mall to queue up. Weather in Beijing is freezing cold so it’s good to see these people queuing up inside the mall to keep themselves warm.

There were more than 50 people queuing up for the store throughout the night, with their precious iProducts accompanying them.

Long lines are expected for the grand opening.

Apple fans have the whole night to get to know each other.

This couple brought their camping tent along. Awesome.

Bottoms up!
Editors’ note: At the time of writing, nearly a hundred of people were queuing overnight, ready to descend on the store at 9am the following morning. Six more hours left to go!
