Hong Kong has already reach an important milestone as more than half of all mobile phone owners start to carry a smartphone. Previously, smartphone were owned by a very specific group of consumers – mainly tech geeks and business ‘road warriors’. The ‘look and feel’ is mainly the predominant deciding factor for Hong Kong consumers to purchase a mobile device. In the special administrative regions of China, most of the mobile users regularly check and update their social networks, and Facebook is the app most commonly-used by Hong Kong consumers as we can see, followed by Yahoo web services.
