
Hong Kong Newspaper AppleDaily interviewed an injured Foxconn’s worker who surname Zhang in a hospital nearby Foxconn Taiyuan’s plant yesterday after the mass riot. Zhang is from Henan province, he has worked in Foxconn for about a month and he is now lying in bed with multiple injuries. Zhang pointed out that the Chinese polices who wears helmets and wielding plastic shields had randomly beaten people up inside the factory’s dormitory. Workers were told to squat on corridor and put their hands on their head with no clothes on. Zhang recalled that one police had trodden on his head and said “You’re lucky that we didn’t kill you!“.

According to a Foxconn worker who told RFA.org, Foxconn had arranged several big trucks on Tuesday morning to send its Henan-based workers back to Henan in order to ease up the tense atmosphere over in Foxconn Taiyuan’s plant.

The workers at Foxconn’s Taiyuan plant has already got back to work on Tuesday, but we still can see a lot of polices and police cars guarded outside the campus gates. On Tuesday night, AppleDaily’s reporter spotted a person wearing a white short-sleeved got beaten up by five or six people with sticks in a guardroom opposite Foxconn’s Southern Gate. An officer from Foxconn’s recruitment department explained, similar flights often happened among rowdy young people, but they could not confirmed whether that person is a Foxconn’s worker or not.
