In China, we often see many homeless people living under city bridges. Looking at the bridge dwellers may be unpleasant, however, we think the Chinese government should offer housing and health care to these homeless people. But guess what? Sharp concrete spikes are cropping up under Guangzhou’s city bridges to drive away homeless people. More photos after the break.
We are shocked when we see these pictures of sharp concrete spikes under Guangzhou’s city bridges, and here’s what we think: Man, the government hates the bridge dwellers for congregating under the city bridges.
So, the photos were taken under a bridge that links the Guangzhou city with the entrance of an expressway to the Guangzhou airport. The concrete spikes are 20cm high, and you may ask, who the hell thought of this idea? Here’s what the staff at the Guangzhou airport management said,
“Those were built by the District administrative agency, because too many homeless people congregated under the bridge and not only rested there but lighted a fire to cook there as well, which posed danger.”
Well, we know homeless people sleeping under the city bridges throughout China isn’t a good look for communism, but hey, we are sure the money spent on the concrete spikes is enough to build a temporary shelter for the homeless people!
