GIGABYTE Unveils Dual Mode Touchpad-Mouse for Windows User

GIGABYTE, the well-known Taiwan motherboard company, has released the world’s first-ever dual mode touchpad mouse. The new Aivia Xenon can serve as a practical mouse with multi-touch gestures, and a portable touchpad. A simple click button on the side can switch between mouse and touchpad mode. When activating touchpad mode, it is just like using the touchpad on modern laptop. User can personalize the multi-touch gestures with software, so it can optimize the functions that suit you the most …

The AA-battery-powered device comes with a flattening design, and uses a standard optical sensor for motion tracking with a resolution of 1000 DPI. It is also equipped with the company’s special free-scrolling technology which allows user to effortlessly browse their files or webpages. GIGABYTE also offers an Aivia Painter software to let user use the mouse as a wireless tool for presentation, which allows a 10-meter working distance. At 259 yuan (US$40), this dual mode touchpad mouse is only for those who are the most curious about touch-based desktop or laptop computing. And by the way, no support for Mac.
