Watch: Girl Falls Through Pavement Into Sinkhole while Using Cellphone

A surveillance video had captured footage of a teenage girl falling into a 20-foot-deep sinkhole while she was walking and using her cellphone. The ridiculous accident happened last month in Xi’an city, northern China. The sinkhole was reportedly caused by underground water erosion. Even though she was distracted by her cellphone, technology is not completely to blame in this sort of unexpected accident. A Taxi driver tried helping the girl out after seeing her fall through. The girl was rescued from the moving sinkhole by emergency crews shortly after. All we can say, the young girl is really really on bad luck …

The poor little girl climed out from the sinkhole with the help of fire fighters.

The girl had send to the hospital for check-up, still using her cellphone for texting.

The young girl’s parent appreciated the enormous effort by the taxi driver.

Authorities arrived on the spot to fix the mass, you can see how badly the underground
water had eroded the ground under the road and caused the cavity under the pavement.
